Resume

Colin Barclay

Colin Barclay's paintings strive to portray the unique grandeur of the Maine coast and New York's Hudson River Valley. The artists chief concern is capturing the subtleties of atmospheric perspective, revealing a landscape transformed by weather and the changing light of early morning or dusk. Though his paintings ignore overt signs of human presence and often depict stormy, restless skies his work is not simply Romantic and is distinguished by a distinctly contemporary mood.
